About these terms

These terms govern your use of ownio (the "Service"), available at getownio.com and its dashboard. ownio is operated from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean ownio, and "you" means the account holder.

Our service

ownio is a platform that helps creators build owned audiences: public profile pages, lead-magnet capture, a subscriber CRM, guides, and related analytics. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are.

Account registration

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@getownio.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plans and payment

The Service is offered on the following plans:

• Starter — Free.
• Growth — $19 / month.
• Scale — $39 / month.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details. The prices and plan features shown at checkout are authoritative; if they differ from any figure quoted elsewhere, the checkout figure applies.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your dashboard. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a billing period.

If you are unhappy with your first paid payment, contact us within 14 days of that payment at hello@getownio.com and we will refund it.

Your content and your subscribers

You retain ownership of the content you upload and of the subscriber and lead data you collect through the Service. You grant us a licence to host, store, process, and display that content and data only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring your content and your use of the Service are lawful and do not infringe anyone else's rights.

Your subscribers' personal data

When you collect personal data about your subscribers and leads through the Service, you are the data controller for that data and ownio acts as your data processor, processing it on your behalf and on your instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for collecting it and for providing your subscribers with your own privacy information. Our handling of that data as processor is described in our Privacy Policy.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to ownio. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service while your account is active. It does not transfer any ownership to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store or distribute unlawful content;
• upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts;
• interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service;
• scrape or harvest data from the Service except your own data; or
• resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We provide support by email at hello@getownio.com and aim to respond within a reasonable time. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime or unavailability, subject to the section below.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
